About
A calorie tracker that treats ingredients like they matter.
Most trackers reduce food to a number. NakedCalorie keeps the calories — because they matter — and adds back the context a label leaves out.
Why we built it
We kept opening popular trackers, logging a bar or a ready meal, and seeing "220 kcal" with no answer to the actual question: what am I eating? A calorie count doesn't tell you whether something is ultra-processed, which additives are in it, or how the ingredients compare to alternatives on the shelf.
We built NakedCalorie to close that gap without the wellness-industry baggage. No shaming, no scary lists, no absolutist claims. Just a clear score built on public data, so you can decide for yourself.
Principles
What we optimise for.
Transparency over verdicts
We show you the ingredient facts and the sources behind them. You decide what to do with that information.
Evidence-based, plainly said
Peer-reviewed nutrition science translated into decisions you can make in the aisle, without jargon.
Informed choice, not fear
No food is 'evil.' Context matters. We won't tell you what to eat — we'll help you see what you're eating.
Your data stays yours
We don't sell logs. Export or delete your history any time.
Who's behind it
NakedCalorie is built by a small team that thinks food transparency shouldn't require a chemistry degree. More about us here once we're ready to share names.
